Searching for some good music can take time, but I just happened to be at work when I first heard this song.
This was my first opportunity to listen to Gaelle. I was entranced by her sultry voice.
"Give It Back"(Transient) is a song that I always manage to replay continuously in my iPod.

This may be my next favorite film!
From the trailer, LUV isn't your typical movie. It's an intense, yet thought-provoking drama - which piqued my interest. I've heard some good responses, but I'll have to wait to check it out because it's currently showing in select theaters.
Here's the synopsis -
"An 11-year-old boy gets a crash course in what it means to be a man when he spends a day with the uncle he idolizes in LUV, a poignant and gritty coming-of-age story featuring standout performances by Common, Danny Glover, Dennis Haysbert, Charles S. Dutton and newcomer Michael Rainey Jr.
With his mother in rehab and his father out of the picture, young Woody Watson (Michael Rainey Jr.) lives with his grandmother (Lonette McKee) in suburban Baltimore and longs for his family to be reunited. His charismatic Uncle Vincent (Common) has recently returned home after eight years in prison, determined to straighten out his life by opening a high-end crab shack that will establish him as a solid citizen with a legitimate future.
One day, instead of dropping Woody off at school, Vincent decides to give the boy a tutorial on how a man gets things done. After a trip to a tailor to get Woody a custom-fitted suit, the pair heads to the bank to sign off on the loan Vincent needs to fulfill his dreams. But when his meeting with a bank officer puts the brakes on his plans, Vincent has no one to turn to for help but his former associates, including Baltimore crime boss Mr. Fish (Dennis Haysbert) and his brother Arthur (Danny Glover). A day that begins with a parking- lot driving lesson and Woody’s first oyster takes a desperate turn when Fish insists Vincent run one more drug deal to demonstrate his loyalty. Soon Vincent finds himself pulled back into the violent world he is trying to escape—and Woody has to decide whether to follow his hero…or become his own man. "

|N-Secure (2010) on Amazon.com|
While I was in Wal-Mart, I stumbled across this gem in my search for a decent movie. I'll admit that I'm attracted to a good dvd cover; it's just like when you pick up a book based on the appearance of the cover. Yet, we all know that you can't base a book (or anything else) solely on its cover.
N-Secure is written by Julius Lewis and directed by David M. Matthews.
So, here's the description:
"N-Secure is a no holds-barred thrilling drama mixed with murder, mayhem and manipulation among affluent professionals. This film sheds light on a man's downfall from the pinnacles of success into the depths of his damaged character. His insecurities lead him into a series of troubled romantic relationships and eventually a web of events that include betrayal and murder." - N-Secure Films
"Cordell Moore, Denise Boutte and Lamman Rucker (co-stars of Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Marrired?) come together once again for the gripping thriller N-SECURE. Wealthy businessman David Washington (Moore) wants to control every aspect of his life, including his beautiful girlfriend Robyn (Essence Atkins). But his domineering nature only pushes Robyn into the arms of the handsome fiancé of her best friend. Haunted by Robyn's betrayal and his own insecurities, David soon finds himself ensnared in a web of revenge and murder, leading to a shocking climax that will leave you breathless." - Amazon Editorial Review
First, this movie has a wonderful cast. It stars Essence Atkins (known for Half & Half, Are We There Yet?, A Haunted House), Cordell Moore, Denise Boutte (known for Days Of Our Lives, Meet The Browns, and Why Did I Get Married?), Tempestt Bledsoe (known for The Cosby Show and Guys With Kids), Elise Neal (known for Scream 2 and Hustle & Flow), Lamman Rucker (Meet The Browns, Why Did I Get Married?, and Half & Half) and Thomas Miles, better known as Nephew Tommy (Think Like A Man, The Parkers, The Steve Harvey Show).
You can view the complete cast and crew list here.
Second, a little romance, mixed in with some murder and suspense.
Drama is prevalent throughout the film.
Although there were some parts where I wanted to see more development, I enjoyed the film. Some parts were expected where I knew what would happen, while others had great potential; but you can only fit so much into one film without it being too long.
Overall, this would be a nice film to watch while relaxing in your spare time.

"All My Life" is such a beautifully written song, making it one of my favorite songs to listen to. The song, performed by K-Ci & JoJo, was written and produced by Joel 'JoJo' Hailey and Rory Bennett.

I appreciated the diversity of the characters, centering around four black women.
StarPulse.com published this article entitled, "The Demise of the Black Sitcom," which highlights the struggles that shows with predominantly black casts have faced.
"In 2008, the series "Girlfriends" - a staple of UPN and The CW networks for a combined eight years - was unceremoniously cancelled. The program, which centered on the lives of four young black women (a story often never told in Hollywood), "Girlfriends" became one of the highest rated shows among African-Americans aged 18-34. By 2008, however, the show was dumped by the network. "Girlfriends" never received a proper series finale, angering many loyal fans."
